I want a world where life warms me up from the inside
Like a fire brimming brightly so white hot that it consumes me
I want to hold the flame closely, cherish it, protect it, share it
With those that show the path to contentment in daily trifles

It is one of those of days where life and lies come closer together in beautiful harmony
And you lose track of what’s within and what’s without
In that dim perception of truth I rose from within and called for a greater truth
To show me the path to knowing myself and knowing what’s it all for

Can I see what lies in front me that which I cannot foretell nor forestall
Can I know in the depths of my heart what it yearns for and in the burdens to come
I seek eternal glory and kindness,
And in that I shall discover myself, rebuild myself, and forgo all my yesteryear’s pains

In this checkering miasma of life, can I find my own,
something that brings about a pain and pleasure in equal measures,
Oh, how my heart yearns for that sweet pain,
for in that pain I come to see myself in greatest clarity
A sweetness to overcome all the misery, all the chicanery,
And all that deep dark pain that threatens to envelop my very core.
